Tokyo Family Photography | The Royal Treatment

Family portraits are so important to capture.

Family is the most important part of life

“Wishing is good for us. Daydreams, fantasies, castles in the air, and aspirations all drive us forward, impel us to make things happen.” ~ Anon

We’re still reeling from the fabulous fun we had in the middle of the madness that is Akihabara for our most recent Tokyo Mini-Sessions last weekend. Thank you so much to everyone who joined us. So excited to feature our very favorite faves here soon. From maid cafes, to big, big screens, a bit of random cos-play and some back-alley light-bulb dealing…we covered it all.

We adore that this photo journey, all-over some of the city’s most iconic hotspots, is just never, ever never-ending… So today we’re going as classic and as Japanese as it gets. From our May Minis. Right in the heart of city. A nod to all things regal, royal and of course family-inspired…as we take on the outer grounds of the Imperial Palace.

Catch us if you can. And with this beautiful family not only couldn’t we wait to connect but we truly had just a great, real, laughter-filled time. Getting all the combos and yes, of course going skyward at the end. Come on…big round rocks? They are just waiting to be climbed on then jumped off. It was love and light at the Palace gates, meets what will certainly make it to our list of all-time favorite only-in-japan-moments…

That quintessential policeman on his bike, mid pedal, in what would ultimately be an act of almost perfect photo bombing. In our defense we did see him coming…and made the very most of it.

And ended with some great family fun in Yoyogi Park after a taxi dash across town. Photograph your family story!!
