Don't get me wrong... Beautiful traditional portraits are amazing too. Historical. They're the ones that get framed. They're the ones that hang in homes. And they're beautiful. But sometimes, looking through traditional portraits, you may not get a lot of insight into what life was like at that point in a family’s life. However, documentary photography will capture the essence of time and moments and turn them into memories for not just your and your family, but for generations to come.
We really don’t remember much about our first few years, and documentary photos can fill in some gaps. Showing family life and capturing those moments of life before memory for your kids. And from my own experience, the photos I have with my young mum and myself as a baby are some of my most treasured items in this world. Your kids will thank you for these images as they grow older. And memories grow in value.
