Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon holds a two-kilometre long river in South Iceland, is approximately 100 metres deep, with steep walls and narrow pathways. Fjaðrárgljúfur, notoriously unpronounceable for foreigners, is said as [Fyath-raor-glyu-fur].
We had just spent the afternoon at Fjadrargljufur Canyon for our 37 Frames Iceland Photography Workshop and had headed back to our cabins about 15 minutes drive from the Canyon.
We went inside to freshen up and then were meeting the group for dinner. As we left our cabin for the main dining room, this was the sight just outside our door. Moonrise at Fjadrargljufur Canyon. I bet the Canyon looked spectacular in the moonlight. We should have gone back. The landscape photographer's mantra.
