The Eiffel Tower | Trocadéro at Sunrise

Paris at Sunrise

IF THERE’S ONE THING YOU DO IN PARIS, MAKE SURE IT’S THIS.

There’s nothing quite like the first glint of sunlight just over the horizon, that first hint of a golden glow. The most amazing location from which to watch sunrise over Paris is, without a doubt, Jardins du Trocadéro. Located in the 16e arrondissement, the Jardins du Trocadéro lies across from the Eiffel Tower, on the other side of the Seine. Its predominant feature is the Fountain of Warsaw, otherwise known as the Water Mirror.

From this location, the sun quite literally rises above the horizon before shining through the lower levels of the Eiffel Tower. And the best part about going to watch the Eiffel Tower early in the morning? Besides one or two pre-wedding shoots and a few birds, the Trocadéro was practically empty.
